NORTHERN SISTERS
WIND & WIDE HORIZONS

9-Day Women's Sailing Journey through the Finnish Archipelago & Island Retreat

mehr Info

Experience the Finnish Archipelago Together

NORTHERN SISTERS WIND & WIDE HORIZONS

Four days under sail. Four days to slow down. One journey that brings both together.

There are few better ways to experience the Finnish Archipelago than from the water. Among thousands of islands, quiet harbours and endless horizons, each day becomes a new adventure—unhurried, shared and deeply connected to nature.

Together with a small group of women, you'll sail through one of Europe's largest archipelagos. No sailing experience is needed. Life on board isn't about perfect manoeuvres, but about sharing the journey: hoisting the sails, feeling the wind, cooking together, spending the night in small island harbours and watching the sun set from the deck.

After four days at sea, you'll arrive on our home island of Vartsala. At Kalliokumpu Eco Lodge, four peaceful days await, filled with Finnish sauna, forest bathing, meditation by the sea and time for meaningful conversations. After the openness of the sea, this is where you'll truly arrive.

WIND & WIDE HORIZONS brings together adventure and stillness in a truly unique way—a women's journey for those who love nature, value genuine connection and want to experience Finland from a perspective few travellers ever discover.

First, the wind carries you across the archipelago. Then, the island's quiet carries you home.

What Makes This Journey Special

Experience the Finnish Archipelago from the Water

With more than 40,000 islands, secluded natural harbours and endless horizons, the Finnish Archipelago is one of Europe's most spectacular sailing destinations. There is no better way to discover this extraordinary island world than from the deck of a sailing boat.

Sailing Together

No previous sailing experience is needed. Guided by an experienced skipper, you'll become part of the crew—hoisting the sails, helping to moor the boat and discovering how strangers can become a close-knit group within just a few days.

Two Journeys in One

Spend four nights aboard a sailing yacht and four nights at Kalliokumpu Eco Lodge, combining adventure with deep relaxation. First, the freedom of the open sea. Then, the peace of the forest, the warmth of the Finnish sauna and the quiet rhythm of island life.

Time to Arrive

After your days under sail, forest bathing, meditation by the sea, gentle walks and the Finnish sauna invite you to slow down, reflect on your experiences and simply enjoy being present.

Personally Guided

Rebecca welcomes you personally during your stay at Kalliokumpu Eco Lodge. Together with an experienced skipper, she opens the door to a side of the Finnish Archipelago that most visitors never discover—authentic, unhurried and filled with genuine moments of connection.

Accommodation

During this journey, you'll experience the Finnish Archipelago in two very different ways: four nights aboard a sailing yacht and four nights at our island hideaway.

Sailing Yacht Hanse 385

You'll spend the first four days aboard a modern Hanse 385 sailing yacht. Together with a small group, you'll sail from island to island, spend the nights in peaceful archipelago harbours and experience life on the water—simple, authentic and wonderfully close to nature.

On board: Maximum of 6 guests; 3 double cabins; Shared bathroom and galley; Experienced skipper on board

Kalliokumpu Eco Lodge - Boutique Hideaway

After your days at sea, you'll spend the next four nights at Kalliokumpu Eco Lodge on the island of Vartsala. Nestled among pine forests and just steps from the sea, you'll stay in cosy glamping tents that combine the comforts of modern accommodation with an immersive nature experience.

Here, life slows down. The days become quieter, the horizons wider, and there's time to simply be.

Kalliokumpu Eco Lodge has been awarded the internationally recognised Green Key certification for its commitment to sustainable tourism.
